Mississauga Marathon Pasta Dinner
presented by Boston Pizza

Our Mississauga Marathon Pasta Dinner is held at the Mississauga Novotel. Carbo load and fuel up for race day at the Mississauga Marathon and Half Marathon Pasta Dinner on Saturday evening at 6:00. Enjoy a delicious variety of pasta dishes and salads while listening to inspirational speakers.

PASTA DINNER FEATURED SPEAKERS
Dr. Richard Rayman

Rick ran his first marathon, the Toronto Police Games Marathon, in the seventies. Since then, this 61 year old father of two and grandfather of three, has run 186 marathons, 16 last year alone! Most impressive, Rick has the longest running streak in Canada having never missed a day of running since December 10, 1978. His streak will extend 29 years and 5 months exactly as of May 10th! His daily minimum is 30 minutes or 3 miles, whatever comes first. Dr. Rayman is also in the company of running legends Bill Rogers, Dick Beardsley, Katherine Switzer and John Stanton, having won the prestigious Rainbow Award at the Niagara Falls International Marathon. Rick will be running the Canon Marathon on May 11th.

When he is not running Rick practices dentistry in Toronto and teaches at the Dental School at University of Toronto.
   
Earl Fee

Mississauga Hall of Famer Earl Fee, 78, has broken 45 world records and 32 Canadian records in 300m hurdles, 400m, 800m, 1500m and mile events. After a 33 year break from running, Earl rediscovered the sport and over the past 22 years has been chosen as the Mississauga Master Athlete of the year 5 times, the Ontario Male Master Athlete of the year 6 times, the Athlete of the meet at the Canadian Master Track and Field Championships 5 times and the Cross Country Canadian Champion for his age group for 14 years. Earl has represented Canada at 12 World Masters Championships across the globe and in 2005 at the age of 76 he won three gold medals and broke two world records at the world Masters Track & Field Championships.
Earl is a retired nuclear engineer/consultant, author, coach, and world class master runner.
   
Dr. Chris Woollam

The Medical Director for the Mississauga Marathon is Dr. Christopher Woollam MD. He is a Sport Medicine Physician certified by The Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine. His job is to assist in providing a safe environment for the runners and to provide treatment for any injuries. An avid athlete all his life Dr. Woollam brings an expertise in running injuries to his position. His associates include other sport physicians and therapists providing valuable and varied expertise in sport injuries.
Dr. Woollam’s particular interests are lower extremity injuries and biomechanical management of the foot and orthotics. Hockey injuries are also high on his list.
Currently, in addition to the Mississauga Marathon, Dr Woollam is Medical Director of the Oakville Half Marathon and 10K (www.oakvillehalfmarathon.com) and the Toronto Marathon (www.torontomarathon.com)
