START AREA
Parking at Square One Mall is restricted this year due to construction projects on the site and because Walmart is open at 7am race day. Square One has provided us with 2 preferred parking areas: the lot west of Famous Players (north off of Rathburn Rd W); and the lot north of Zellers off of Duke of York Blvd (south of Rathburn Rd W).

Alternative: Take bus provided from Cawthra Community Centre to Start Area at 5:45am or from the Port Credit GO Station to Start Area at 5:45am

Burnhamthorpe Rd, west of Hurontario to Mississauga Rd will be closed by 7:00am. Square One Dr at Hurontario and Robert Speck Parkway at Hurontario will be closed by 6am Sunday, May 16. By-law enforcement will be ticketing and towing improperly parked vehicles on race weekend.

FINISH AREA
While there is no parking onsite at the Finish Area due to construction projects at the Arena and the Library this year, there have been a number of options established as alternatives.

 Course Information

A beautiful run that encompasses much of Mississauga's beauty. This point to point course is a fast net downhill. The course starts at Mississauga's City Hall, and makes its way west across the Credit River to Mississauga Road and then travels south for a beautiful stretch past the University of Toronto's Mississauga Campus, Mississauga Golf and Country Club, and continues through some of Mississauga's most beautiful residential neighbourhoods, before winding along the scenic Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail, and back along Lakeshore Rd. to Memorial Park in the village of Port Credit. An incline is found at 10km. The 'net' downhill aspect of this race still exists, however, with a 250' (or 80m) drop from start to finish.

  • Aid Stations at approximately every 2km mark
  • Fluids at all stations: Gatorade and water
  • Other aid at stations: Vaseline, bandages

Please Note: The Mississauga Marathon course will be open for 6.5 hours this May 16th 2010. A rolling clear will occur at the rate of slightly over 9 minutes/ kilometre (14:30 min/mile). Participants moving slower than this pace will be asked by Police to move onto the sidewalk and proceed to the finish line obeying regular pedestrian road rules.

Please Note: If you register in the walking division of this event you must walk the entire race distance. There will be no prizing in the walking division but separate results will be posted for walkers.
