Free 5th Anniversary Personalized Pace Bands...with total topographic and strategic adjustment

To make sure you run the best race possible, have a laminated, Velcro-closured, large print, pace band made up for your big race day by Marathon Dynamics, the distance running training and coaching specialists, which is totally customized to:

a) Your chosen race distance (half or full) & goal time (and it can be ANY time...doesn't have to be a nice neat round number)

b) The unique topography of the race courses, so that each km split reflects the ups and downs as you run them

It'll even have your name up top too--since with 2-3km to go, it's not uncommon to forget who you are (ha, ha!)

Please send an email BY MONDAY, MAY 5th to coach Kevin Smith at Marathon Dynamics kevinsmith@marathondynamics.com with the message "Missy Pace Band" in the subject line, and include the following in your message:

1) Your Full Name 2) Your goal distance 3) Your goal time 4) (Optional) your pacing strategy, if any. Choose either "Even Split" (ES), or "Slight Negative Split" (SN) or "Big Negative Split" (BN)

* Note: Marathon Dynamics highly recommends using the "slight negative split" approach, where you plan to run the first 1/4 of the race just a few seconds/km slower than you target average pace, then run the middle half of the race spot on pace, then run the final 1/4 of the race a few seconds faster than your goal average. This is the #1 way to ensure you reach your race goal time, and prevent a gruesome race day blow up, where you end up running a horribly slower second half...which unfortunately, is still what the great majority of distance runners end up doing these days!

As such, even splitting is the most aggressive approach, slight negative is more conservative, and big negative is the most conservative. * Marathon Dynamics will default all pace bands to slight negative split approach if none is specified

You can also take this opportunity to ask of the MDI coaching staff any training or race preparation question you may have (such as "I'm not sure if my race goal time is appropriate, given the training I've done this season...can you help me determine that?) when you send your pace band request. We'll do our best to get back to everyone in a timely fashion as the excitement builds to race day (and/or you can check in with us for a quick "Approach The Coach" pow-wow at the Expo too).

Then drop by the Marathon Dynamics Booth (purple tent!) at the race expo when you pick up your race kit, and your pace band will be ready and waiting for you!

Alternatively, if you miss the email deadline, then simply drop by to have a pace band made up for you right there on the spot (takes 5-10 minutes...so take in the rest of the expo while you wait).
