10KM Student Relay

The Mississauga Marathon is proud to include in its Race Weekend events the 10KM Student Relay. This event provides a unique opportunity to create a team building experience, which focuses on health and fitness. This event has teams of 2, 3 or 4 members completing the 10KM course. All team members will receive an event t-shirt, swag bag, finishers' medal and a chance for prizes.

Race Kit Pickup
Teams must pick up their race kits which includes four race bibs, one timing chip (for the last runner to wear), four t-shirts and four swag bags at the Health & Wellness Expo. Please make note of your team bib number which will be emailed to you on Thursday, May 3rd, 2018 and have a team member (or your whole team together) bring that number to the kit pick-up. Race kits for this event will no longer be available at the Health & Wellness Expo as of 3:00 PM sharp on Saturday, May 5th, 2018!

Please Note: Participants and spectators are encouraged to actively participate in the “See Something, Say Something” campaign. Spectators are asked to be aware of their surroundings and to report suspicious conduct or items to the closest law enforcement officer or by calling 9-1-1.

On Course Information
Aid Stations at 4KM and 8KM
Fluids at all stations: Recovery beverage and water
Other aid at stations: Vaseline, bandages

A rolling clear will occur at the rate of slightly over 9 minutes/ kilometer (14:30 minutes/mile). Participants moving slower than this pace will be asked by Police to move onto the sidewalk and proceed to the finish line obeying regular pedestrian road rules.

ATTENTION: Anyone (participants and spectators) who plans to use our event shuttle buses while being accompanied by a dog, must have them caged or muzzled to board any of the buses.

Start & Finish Area Parking

There is no parking at the Start or Finish Area. Runners and spectators are highly encouraged to use our FREE shuttle bus service.

10KM Student Relay Prizing

Elementary Grades 1-5
    1st, 2nd and 3rd place (male, female, co-ed)

Elementary Grades 6-8
    1st, 2nd and 3rd place (male, female, co-ed)

    1st, 2nd and 3rd place (male, female, co-ed)

Only the first place awards in each of the above categories will be presented on stage at the Finish Area during the MNP 10KM Awards Ceremony beginning at 7:30 PM on Race Day. All other team awards will be available for pick up at the Prizing Tent beside the stage.

There will be no duplication of prizes.
All prizing must be picked up on the day of the event.
